Before you run this workflow
Networks
- Ethereum mainnet ENS data
Prerequisites
- No wallet for public search
- Use a wallet only when continuing to registration or purchase
Wallet permissions
- Search and inspection require none
Expected result
- Results distinguish available, registered, listed, unresolved, and provider-error states
Errors and recovery
- Open the individual name and refresh live state before acting
- Retry only unresolved batch items
Workflow
How to use it
- 1
Search a name or address
An address lookup follows primary-name data where available; a name lookup reads the current resolution chain.
- 2
Check authority
Do not assume the displayed resolver or manager owns the registration. Read the role labels and wrapped-name state.
- 3
Inspect records and security
Review record sources, Unicode/security warnings, content links, and identity verification grades.
- 4
Use the right action
Owners can transfer registration; managers may update records; resolver control alone does not transfer the name.
